Yahoo C List Fantasy NASCAR Preview – Darlington Bojangles Southern 500
Chase Elliott – Chase Elliott will be making his final scheduled start of the 2015 season so if you’re looking to use him this would be the week. Last year in the Xfinity series he raced his way to victory lane here. Chase Elliott has been a consistent performer in the 25 car this season. In his last three races he’s had results of 16th, 18th and 18th. If he can pace himself and just race the track he should be able to walk away with another quality result.

Ryan Blaney – Ryan Blaney shows flashes of potential from time to time but he’ll likely prove to be a low twenties performer. In four of his last five races this season he’s finished between 22nd and 24th. He only has one start here among NASCAR’s major divisions. In 2012 at Darlington in the Xfinity Series he finished last and only completed one lap.
David Ragan – Darlington has been brutal to David Ragan. In his last four races here he has a 30.0 average finish, 30.0 average running position and the 32nd best driver rating. His overall Darlington average finish is 25.5. When he drove for Roush Fenway Racing he had two good results here and those were finishes of 5th and 14th. In recent races this season David Ragan has been running better but his finishes leave a lot to be desired. He finished 40th at Bristol but in the six races prior to that he finished between 17th and 23rd. A result within that range should probably be expected on Saturday night.

Justin Allgaier – Last year Justin Allgaier made his lone Sprint Cup start at Darlington. In the race he was a low to mid-twenties performer all evening long. He started 24th, finished 23rd, had a 24th place average running position and earned the 25th best driver rating. In 2013 in the Xfinity Series at Darlington he finished 10th and had a 9th place average running position. In 2012 in the lower series he finished 13th.
Danica Patrick – Danica Patrick has finished better every time she’s raced at Darlington. Last year she didn’t run well but walked away with a 22nd place finish. Many people would be pleased to have her on their team if she finished that good. Also in the race she started 33rd, earned the 29th best driver rating and had a 28th place average running position. In 2013 she was very uncompetitive. She started in 40th, finished five laps down and had a 28th place result. Also in her performance she had a 32nd place average running position and had a near start and park 43.4 driver rating. In the race she found herself a lap down in just 28 laps. In her pre-rookie year Darlington was one of the “hard” tracks Tony Stewart handpicked for her to compete at. In that race she finished 31st and had a 32nd place average running position. In that event she also found herself a lap down on lap 28.
