Greg Biffle – This season at 1.5 mile tracks Greg Biffle hasn’t been good but he’s been solid. He’s finished a lot better than you probably think he has. On this sub-track type (1.5 mile tracks) in 2015 he has a 14.3 average finish and has had a result in the top twenty in 5 of the 6 races. In terms of contending he hasn’t even been close and has led 0 laps and has run just 6 fastest laps. At Chicagoland Biffle has only finished in the top ten once and has an 18.4 average finish. Last season he wasn’t even close to being competitive. He started 20th, had a 25th place average running position and finished 23rd. Also in the race he ran 0.0% percent of the laps inside the top fifteen. In 2013 he started in 7th, had a 12th place average running position and finished 16th. AJ Allmendinger – AJ Allmendinger has been in six races at Chicagoland and his average finish is 18.3. In his first three Chicagoland races he finished in either 13th or 14th, in his last three he’s finished in the twenties. Last year Allmendinger wasn’t competitive. He finished 22nd, had a 24th place average running position and ran just .7% percent of the laps in the top fifteen. Around lap 160 during the telecast it was announced that his shifter was broke and that certainly impacted his level of competitiveness. In 2013 he finished one spot better in 21st. Also in that race he had a 23rd place average running position and earned the 24th best driver rating. In 2012 he missed the race due to suspension and in 2011 he finished 27th. In the first two races of the season at 1.5 mile tracks Allmendinger came home with top ten finishes. In the last four races at tracks of this length he has a 22.5 average finish and a 24.3 average running position. (Yahoo B Driver)
