Yahoo C List Fantasy NASCAR Preview – Chicagoland
Ryan Blaney – Ryan Blaney will return to action in the #21 on Sunday. He’s been a pretty volatile driver to fantasy racers but he’s shown potential. This year at high-speed intermediate tracks minus Texas and Charlotte where he had engine failures he has results of 19th, 24th and 24th. In the lower series at Chicagoland he’s run well and has finishes of 2nd, 4th and 9th.
David Ragan – David Ragan might be able to bring you home a respectable result at Chicagoland. I base that off MWR performing better recently and that during his tenure at Roush Fenway Racing he experienced success here. In three of his last four Chicagoland races in Roush equipment he finished between 8th and 12th. In his last two races at high-speed intermediate tracks in 2015 in MWR equipment he has back to back 18th place finishes. In Front Row Motorsports equipment he didn’t run well here. Last year he started 39th, had a 34th place average running position and finished 31st. In his two Chicagoland races prior to that he wasn’t much better and finished 22nd and 26th.

Danica Patrick – Danica Patrick has been in three races at Chicagoland and she’s finished better every time she’s raced here which is encouraging. Her finishes have been very respectable by her standards and her overall average finish is 21.3. Last year she was a high-teens performer. In the race she started 18th, had an 18th place average running position and finished 19th. In 2013 she had one of her better races of the season. In the event she qualified 23rd, had a 24th place average running position and finished 20th. In 2012 she had a pretty bad performance and went down a lap under green by lap 34. In that race she finished 25th, had a 30th place average running position and earned the 31st best driver rating. This season at high-speed intermediate tracks Danica Patrick has a 22.4 average finish.
Justin Allgaier – Justin Allgaier has been in two races at Chicagoland and he’s proven himself to be consistent. In both events he’s finished multiple laps down in 27th. Last year that result reflects his performance. In the race he started 26th, finished 27th, had a 28th place average running position and ran 0.0% percent of the laps in the top fifteen. In his 27th place result in 2013 he was actually worse and had a 30th place average running position. This season 1.5 mile tracks have not been good venues for him. Minus Texas and Charlotte where he was involved in an accidents he has a 26.3 average finish.
