Kurt Busch – Had a tire rub issue in the opening minutes of practice. He returned to the track shortly afterwards. In race trim he said, “It’s big-time tight.” Went to qualifying trim following the first half-hour.

Kevin Harvick – Moved to the top of the track very early in practice. Planned on doing 3 runs in race trim but was so happy with his setup he went to qualifying trim early. After a fast run in race trim 25 minutes into practice he said, “Nice job guys.” He really liked his car. Went to qualifying trim 30 minutes into practice.

David Ragan – Spun in the first five minutes of practice coming off turn 4. He didn’t get any damage from the incident. “Pretty free, real sensitive with front end.” During his second run he said his car was a little better but his team still has a ways to go.
Justin Allgaier – Following his first run he said he was really, really loose. Following his second run he said changes tightened up his car. During a later run he was tight on exit in turns 1&2 and was loose on entry in the middle of turns 3&4. During a later run in race trim he said his car felt much better. Went to qualifying trim with 50 minutes remaining.
