Kyle Larson – Practiced running the extreme high-lane in the turns. Had good long run speed. His 15 lap average ranked as the 4th best.

David Ragan – Said his car is a little on the tight side. 25 minutes into practice he said he was too free late exit in the turns. During a run with 15 minutes remaining he said, “I’m kind of liking what I feel.”

Ryan Newman – Said he was tight during his first run. Said his car was better late in practice. Had the best 5 lap average speed.

Jimmie Johnson – Had very good ten lap speed. Chad Knaus liked his lap times. Started the session with a +16 lap run. Jimmie Johnson was pleased with his car. Had the best 15 lap average speed.
