New Hampshire Sylvania 300 NASCAR Practice #1 Notes
Clint Bowyer – His crew chief Billy Scott is here this weekend and is serving as crew chief since his team is appealing the penalty. After 6 laps he said he’s got a “tight loose feel.” Overall he wasn’t happy with his car early. Towards the end he said it feels like his team brought a rock to a gun fight.
Kurt Busch – His crew chief is here following his emergency surgery. Said he was dragging stuff pretty good early in practice including his right side. His car got better over the course of the session. Spent most of the session in race trim.
Matt Kenseth – He started in race trim and wanted to get comfortable with his brakes and ride height. His opening run was 9 laps.
Martin Truex Jr. – His team is making some pit crew changes this weekend.
