Kevin Harvick – His team is very confident with their setup.

Jimmie Johnson – Sat out early to observe others on the track. Appeared to have very good speed over his opening run.

Clint Bowyer – Following his first run he said he was a little tight. His team claims he was running competitive laps times. Later he said, “Little bit loose but it’s pretty sporty.” His car got tightened up at the end and he was happy with his handling.
