Fantasy NASCAR Asterisk Mark Report – Phoenix
Tony Stewart – Tony Stewart showed speed this spring at Phoenix but walked away with a 39th place finish. His poor result is the product of being involved in not one, but two accidents. The first came with 77 laps to go and at that time he was running just outside the top ten. That didn’t mark the end of his day but a wreck with 24 laps to go did.
Kurt Busch – Kurt Busch had a great car this spring at Phoenix in his season debut and finished 5th. That’s a great result but he was better than his finish. Performance wise he had the second best car but with about 20 laps to go while he was running in 2nd his crew chief called him to pit road which dropped him to 10th without many laps remaining.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. – This spring at Phoenix Dale Earnhardt Jr. finished dead last. Of course he wasn’t that bad. That result is the product of him getting a speeding penalty and then later getting collected in a wreck. Strength wise before he started having problems he looked about 12th place good.
