Phoenix NASCAR Happy Hour Practice Notes

Sam Hornish Jr. – News broke out between practice sessions that he won’t be returning to the #9 car in 2016. Said his car is tight. Towards the end he said his drive off is pretty good.

Kevin Harvick – His car was very fast and rolled through the center of the turns with ease. Later Harvick said he was tight at both ends. His crew chief told him “I think Kurt’s is a tiny bit better but you two are the best.” Towards the end of practice he said, “That was definitely an improvement.”

Kurt Busch – Very fast and his car was good over long runs. “Loose on exit the first five laps.” He also said his car is overall pretty good.

Jimmie Johnson – Likes his car and was happy with the changes made between practice sessions. Had the best 15 lap average.
