Martinsville Early Week Pre-Practice Top 20 Fantasy Projections – STP 500
We’re at Martinsville Speedway for the STP 500 this weekend, which also marks the first short track race of the 2016 season. Martinsville is one of those tracks that typically favor the “heavy hitter” drivers in terms of Fantasy NASCAR, but, then again, things can change quickly at this track. A wrong on-track move or a pit road mistake can be absolutely devastating to a team’s day. Because of that, it’s not uncommon for sleepers to have a good finish here at “The Paperclip,” although it typically requires that they run a flawless race. Typically the top 5 is pretty predictable at Martinsville, but 6th through 15th can have some surprises. Qualifying is pretty important here, too, because the leader is going to be lapping the back of the field within five or ten minutes after the green flag waves on Sunday.
