Bristol Food City 500 Fantasy NASCAR Mid Pack Predictions
AJ Allmendinger – If AJ Allmendinger can have an incident free race I think he’s very capable of coming home with a respectable result. In four of the last 7 races at Bristol he’s finished between 12th and 17th. In the races he didn’t finish within that range he had some sort of trouble. Last August he didn’t run that great and didn’t have a problem free race. On lap 147 while he was running around 27th he spun and had some slight contact with the inside wall. When the checkered flag waved he finished five laps down in 26th. It’s important to note he was low thirties good but was aided by attrition. In spring 2015 he was teens good but got collected in one of the late wrecks and as a result finished 34th. At the time of his incident he was running in 14th. In August 2014 he performed well throughout the event. He started in 22nd, had a 14th place average running position, finished 14th and earned the 13th best driver rating. At the end it looked like he would challenge for a top ten but he lost a few positions during his final pit stop and never advanced in the running order. In spring 2014 at Bristol he finished 25th but he performed better than his result. What happened is that while he was running in the low teens just after the midpoint he pitted under green and then the caution came out. That trapped him three laps down and he could never recover from it. (Yahoo B Driver)

Trevor Bayne – Last year Trevor Bayne competed at Bristol for the first time since 2011. In that race he was involved in an accident and finished 34th. In August 2015 Bayne had his best race at Thunder Valley. When the checkered flag waved he finished 15th, had a 20th place average running position and earned the 21st best driver rating. In the second half of the event he was at his best and ran mostly between 15th and 18th. Last spring he finished 28th, had a 32nd place average running position and earned the 32nd best driver rating. (Yahoo B Driver)
