Brad Keselowski really liked his car on lap 22 while he was leading.
Early in the race around lap 20 Kevin Harvick started to complain about a vibration. It was later speculated to be his splitter.
On lap 29 Kevin Harvick passed Brad Keselowski for the lead and led the next 21 laps.
On lap 30 JJ Yeley got into the wall and brought out the first caution. (The next 10 laps were under yellow).
During the first round of pit stops Kenseth liked his car but said he was tight in traffic.
During the first round of pit stops Kevin Harvick and Martin Truex Jr. both took two tires which got them up to 1st and 2nd. Everybody else took 4.

During the Stewart spin caution Edwards, Keselowski, Blaney and Newman all took two tires. This got them up to the top 4 in the running order. Carl Edwards was now the leader.

Notable Moment: During the Kyle Larson caution Aric Almirola was leaking power steering fluid. That problem dropped him in the running order. Prior to his problem he was running around 15th.
