Kansas Personal / Comparative Fantasy NASCAR Values
Drivers have two types of fantasy value every week. They have Personal Fantasy Value, and Comparative Fantasy Value.
Personal Fantasy Value is an estimation of how good the driver is at a certain track compared to the other venues on the circuit.
Comparative Fantasy Value is an estimation of how good the driver compares to the competition at a certain track.
Let’s talk about Kyle Busch’s fantasy values at Kansas.
His Personal Fantasy Value is medium. It hasn’t been a great track for him from a career perspective and realistically it would be low but he’s redeemed himself and bumped up his Personal Fantasy Value with his two most recent results being top fives.
His Comparative Fantasy Value is high. I expect him to be very competitive on Saturday night. This season at intermediate tracks a very compelling case could be made that he’s been the strongest performer. At 1.5 mile tracks he’s tied for scoring the most points and has a 2.7 average finish. Overall at intermediate tracks this year he’s been top five strong every race.
