Kansas NASCAR Happy Hour Practice Notes

Jimmie Johnson – Really likes his car. Was in qualifying trim the entire session. Jumped to the top of the speed chart during his first qualifying run. After he completed his run his engine ran backwards like Kasey Kahne’s did earlier this year. His issue was ECU (Electronic Control Unit) related. He later returned to the track and his car ran fine.

Kevin Harvick – Trying to put the whole corner together. His car was doing different things in different parts of the corner. His team didn’t put much emphasis into qualifying trim.

Kasey Kahne – His team was frustrated and Kasey Kahne wasn’t comfortable. Never went to qualifying trim.
