Dover NASCAR Practice #1 Notes

Tony Stewart – Wrecked in the opening minutes of practice. Over the radio he said the contact hurt. Went to a backup car. He returned to the track in his backup car during the final minute of practice.

Danica Patrick – Wrecked in the opening minutes of practice. Returned to the track about an hour later in a backup car. In her backup she said she was loose. “It’s just really not good on entry.”

Jamie McMurray – Wrecked in the opening minutes of practice. Will be going to a backup car. Danica Patrick said in an interview that McMurray’s elbow hurt pretty bad. Later it was reported that he was fine.

Martin Truex Jr. – Using a brand new chassis. Has a very fast car.
