Fantasy NASCAR Lessons Learned – HScott Motorsports
The NASCAR season is now a third of the way complete. NASCAR lessons have been learned and here’s fantasy observations on HScott Motorsports which Clint Bowyer and Michael Annett drive for.
Clint Bowyer – Clint Bowyer is worse than expected but he’s shown improvement as the season has progressed. When I say improvement I’m talking about him no longer being low thirties good. Performance wise he’s now realistically mid-twenties good. As the season goes along I think we’ll continue to see improvement out of the #15 team. From a fantasy NASCAR standpoint Clint Bowyer only really has fantasy value in high-attrition events or in races where he starts extremely far back (place differential formats). When those two elements combine he’s been fantasy gold this year in leagues such as DraftKings.
Michael Annett – Michael Annett has been really bad this season. His best finish is 27th and that came in the season opening Daytona 500. Since then he only has one other top thirty finish and that was a 29th. Over the last seven races his average finish is 34.4. It’s hard to see fantasy value for Michael Annett under any circumstance.
