What if it rains at Charlotte?
Let’s start off with saying ifantasyrace.com isn’t into weather forecasting. If you’re looking for NASCAR weather I would recommend checking out twitter (NASCAR_WXMAN & RaceWeather). Jayski.com also has a lot of great Weather Links.
If it’s a rainout the race will be held tomorrow. That means the track will be much hotter. A hot track is a slick track. Rodney Childers who is Kevin Harvick’s crew chief tweeted:
My opinion is,, if we race Monday at 140deg track temp no one will be able to pass. Race tomorrow night=good race.. https://t.co/RArK16wF7F

From a fantasy NASCAR strategy perspective that means that starting up front will likely be more important because passing will be difficult. Also if the race is held on Monday Happy Hour will prove to be the more important practice session. If it doesn’t rain, and the race is held tonight practice #2 should prove the more important practice session.
From a fantasy NASCAR strategy perspective if the race doesn’t go the distance because of rain its hard to gauge the best strategy. I would recommend not focusing on that and just use the strategy you think is best as if the race was run to completion.
