Pocono Early Week Pre-Practice Top 20 Fantasy Projections
Pocono Raceway–otherwise known as “The Tricky Triangle”–is one of the most unique race tracks that the Sprint Cup Series visits. Each of the three corners are completely different and modeled after turns at three different tracks. Pocono was also repaved before the 2012 races here and we now see the cars hit 210+ mph going into turn one. The repave also helped allow multiple racing grooves in turn 3, giving us some great finishes over the last couple of years. Once again engines will be tested this weekend, as they will be pushed to the limits thanks to the long front stretch. You’re not going to hear many drivers that are happy with their race car this weekend, so if they can get two of the turns down, they should be good on Sunday.
