Yahoo C List Fantasy NASCAR Preview – Pocono
Chase Elliott – Chase Elliott should have a very strong showing at Pocono. This spring in his Tricky Triangle debut he had a great car and was a serious contender to win. A case could be made that he had the best car. He earned the best driver rating, led the most laps (51), had the best average running position and finished 4th. Now that he has a race under his belt it’s safe to assume he’ll likely come home with another great result.

Jeff Gordon – Read Jeff Gordon’s core content in our Front Runner Rankings post. From a purely performance standpoint I’ll note I think Chase Elliott will out perform him this week. From an allocation perspective it’s probably a wise decision to start Gordon.
Ryan Blaney – Ryan Blaney should have a solid performance at Pocono. This spring when he made his Pocono debut he ran well. When the race reached its conclusion he finished 10th, earned the 11th best driver rating, had a 15th place average running position and ran 70.6% percent of the laps inside the top fifteen. In 2014 at Pocono in the Truck Series Blaney finished 5th. In 2013 in the Truck Series he led 20 laps and raced his way to victory lane.
Chris Buescher – Chris Buescher doesn’t have great fantasy value and is likely mid-twenties good. This spring at Pocono he finished 25th and had a 23rd place average running position. That was his only start at Pocono.
Brian Scott – After the stinker performance Brian Scott had in June it’s hard to be high on his fantasy value. His race started going downhill when he spun on lap 22. He got some right side damage and following his spin he radioed his team and said his car was stuck between gears. After that you could stick a fork in him and it led to his 39th place finish. It should be noted teammate Aric Almirola hasn’t had success here either and is an 18th to 22nd place driver on a good day.
