Michigan 2 Early Week Pre-Practice Top 20 Fantasy Projections
Michigan International Speedway is a very big and very fast 2-mile race track. However, just because it’s big doesn’t mean that passing is very easy to accomplish. Looking at the last six Sprint Cup races that have been ran here, the pole sitter has finished 1st or 2nd in five of them and the only exception has been the 2015 spring race. If you remember back to that event, though, Kurt Busch basically lucked into a win because of rain. In an attempt to promote passing, NASCAR ran a new aero package here at Michigan in the FireKeepers Casino 400 back in June, but that didn’t work out so well. There will be some other tweaks done for this weekend’s race but I personally don’t see it making a huge difference. A couple of drivers to keep an eye on this weekend are Chase Elliott and Kyle Larson, who finished 2nd and 3rd here at Michigan earlier this season and could use a win to lock up a Chase berth (especially Larson).
