Ryan Newman #31 team penalized 15 points

Following Darlington the #31 team failed post-race inspection. NASCAR today issued a 15 point penalty to the #31 team. RCR will not appeal the penalty. Ryan Newman is now 22 points out of the Chase.

Fantasy Spin – On Saturday night look for Newman to race hard and use aggressive pit strategy. Some drivers will be tanking their performances and playing it safe, Newman won’t be one of them.
