Yahoo C List Fantasy NASCAR Preview – Chicagoland
Chase Elliott – Chase Elliott has been one of the better drivers at 1.5 mile tracks this year. At these venues minus Las Vegas and Kentucky where he was taken out in wrecks he has a 7.5 average finish and a 10.3 average running position. On Sunday I think he should easily been able to compete for a top ten. The track surface at Chicagoland is worn and I think that plays to his favor. He knows how to pace himself over a long run with the best in the series. In the Sprint Cup series Elliott has never raced at Chicagoland. In 2015 in the Xfinity Series he finished 14th. In 2014 he raced his way to victory lane and led 85 laps. Michigan is the last high-speed intermediate track visited and at that venue he finished runner-up.

Ryan Blaney – Ryan Blaney should run well at Chicagoland. He’s done a pretty good job at these venues this year when he’s avoided trouble. That said trouble has often struck him at tracks of this length. From a performance perspective I think I would write him down for a low double digit performance if he has an incident free race. Michigan is the last high-speed intermediate track visited and at that venue he finished 4th.
