Fantasy NASCAR Asterisk Mark Report – Dover
Kevin Harvick – Nobody had a better car than Kevin Harvick this spring at Dover. If you looked at his 15th place finish you would never know it. In the race he led 117 laps but his afternoon wasn’t incident free. He continually had problems on pit road, had to dodge a spinning Jimmie Johnson, and then to top things off he was involved in the “Big One” which led to his misleading result.
Jimmie Johnson – Jimmie Johnson had a great car earlier this year at Dover. Performance wise he had one of the best cars but his race wasn’t incident free. He was his own worst enemy. During a late restart while he was the leader with 47 laps to go he spun his tires and in his wake the “Big One” ensued. When the race reached its conclusion he finished 25th.

Carl Edwards – Carl Edwards had a great car this spring but finished 28th. He’s lucky the attrition rate was sky high because he totaled his car when he wrecked with 41 laps to go while he was running in 2nd. For much of the first half of the event he ran in the top 3. For much of the second half of the event prior to the “Big One” he ran around 8th.
