Texas 2 Early Week Pre-Practice Top 20 Fantasy Projections
The second race of the Round of 8 is also the second stop at Texas Motor Speedway, although this time the Sprint Cup Series is running on Sunday afternoon as opposed to Saturday night. If you remember back to that race, Martin Truex, Jr. and Carl Edwards had the dominant cars but it was Kyle Busch that was able to go to victory lane thanks, in part, to his newer tires at the end of the race. Fresh rubber means a little bit more here at Texas than at other cookie cutter race tracks. All eyes should be on last week’s winner, Jimmie Johnson, this weekend, as he has won five of the last eight races here at Texas and each of the last four fall events. He’s already locked into the Championship Race at Homestead so the #48 team can go all out for another win this weekend.
