Fantasy NASCAR Asterisk Mark Report – Texas
Brad Keselowski – Brad Keselowski was probably around 10th place good this spring but he finished a misleading 18th. That misleading result can be chalked up to when he made an unexpected pit stop for a loose wheel on lap 129. That problem dropped him two laps down to 27th. Prior to his problem he was running in 11th.
Martin Truex Jr. – This spring at Texas Martin Truex Jr. finished a very respectable 6th, but that’s an Asterisk Mark result. Performance wise he was the class of the field and was the driver to beat. In the race he earned the best driver rating, best PROS Ranking, led the most laps and had a 2nd place average running position. His misleading result can all be chalked up to him being on old tires at the end and nearly everybody else had new tires.
Carl Edwards – Carl Edwards had one of the best cars this spring but he finished 7th. In the race he earned the 2nd best driver rating and led the 2nd most laps. His misleading result can be chalked up to him making an unexpected pit stop for a loose wheel on lap 223 shortly after restart. Prior to his problem he was running near the front of the pack and was clearly one of the drivers to beat.
