Big Moment: On lap 52 while around 20th Newman got into the wall hard and pancaked his right side. This led to his last place finish. He melted a bead in his tire.

Notable Moment: During the first round of pit stops Denny Hamlin’s pit crew had an uncontrolled tire. This dropped him from the top five back to about the mid-twenties.

Notable Moment: Around lap 138 Landon Cassill made an unexpected pit stop. He was running in the high-twenties at the time and it dropped him to the low-thirties.

Carl Edwards really liked his car. He was leading on lap 163 and said everything was good.
