Fantasy NASCAR Asterisk Mark Report – Homestead

Denny Hamlin – Denny Hamlin had an excellent car last fall at Homestead. He finished a very respectable 10th but I thought he was likely better than his result. On lap 14 while he was running in 2nd his car was leaking fluid. That led to him going to the garage area which dropped him 3 laps down. Him finishing that well is remarkable when you consider the circumstances.

Aric Almirola – Homestead is a good track for Aric Almirola. The very reason why he’s driving the #43 car can be traced back to when he was a substitute driver for Kasey Kahne in 2010 and finished 4th. Last year it’s hard to say how good he was because on lap 46 he was caught up in the “Big One” that led to his 41st place result. I think he might’ve had teens potential if his race would’ve been incident free.

Clint Bowyer – Let’s hope Clint Bowyer’s Hscott Motorsports farewell goes better than his MWR finale. Last year he finished dead last after getting caught up in the “Big One” on lap 46. If his race would’ve been incident free then I would say he likely had teen’s potential.
