Homestead NASCAR Happy Hour Practice Notes

Kyle Busch – Was really focused on being good over long runs. His team feels good about their car over a long run. Ran consistent lap times. Was a little off speed wise compared to some of the other championship contenders.

Jimmie Johnson – Was happy with his car early in practice. “Good changes guys, good changes.” Wasn’t happy with his car around the midpoint. “It didn’t do what I wanted it to at the end, it did at the start”. Towards the end Knaus told Johnson that he ran a solid lap.

Truex Jr. – His car was very fast. He ended the session at the top of the speed chart.

Greg Biffle – Early in practice he said, “Still doesn’t have any rear grip.”

Kurt Busch – Early in practice he said, “Loose off is still a pretty big issue.” He had the same sort of issue in practice #2.
