DraftKings Phoenix Fantasy NASCAR Scoring Trends
Understanding DraftKings NASCAR scoring trends can be very helpful. Each track is different, and different compositions of teams can score big. This post gives you helpful scoring notes that can be learned from a race and tells you what type of “scorer” the top drivers were.
Here’s a breakdown of the terminology you’ll see below:
Elite Dominator – A driver who scores a very large notable amount of “Dominator” points
Super Dominator – A driver who scores a large amount of “Dominator” points.
Dominator – A driver who scores a notable amount of “Dominator” points.
Mover – A driver who moves forward a good amount of positions that really boosts their scores.
Good Finish – A driver who finishes near the front of the field.

Fall 2016 Scoring Notes
- Alex Bowman who drove the #88 in place of Dale Earnhardt Jr. was an elite dominator.
- The top 6 scoring drivers finished in the top 6.
- All the top ten scoring drivers finished in the top 15.
- 3 of the top 4 scoring drivers started in the top 4.
- 3 of the top 10 scoring drivers started between 19th and 25th, the other 7 started 13th or better.
- The top scoring \”Super Cheap driver\” was Landon Cassill who scored the 18th most points.
Spring 2016 Scoring Notes
- The top 4 scorers all finished in the top 5.
- The top 7 scorers all finished in the top 9.
- 12 of the top 13 scorers finished in the top 15.
- The top two scorers (Kevin Harvick and Dale Earnhardt Jr) started outside the top 18.
- Only 4 drivers who ranked as the top 10 scorers started in the top ten.
- 6 of the top 10 scorers started 15th or worse.
- The top scoring \”Super Cheap\” driver was Matt DiBenedetto. He tied for scoring the 16th most points (27).
Fall 2015 Scoring Notes
- The top 5 scorers all finished in the top 5.
- The top 11 scorers all finished in the top 12.
- 5 of the top 6 scorers finished in the top 10.
- Only 2 drivers who ranked among the top 10 scorers started outside the top 15.
- The top scoring \”Super Cheap\” driver was David Ragan who scored the 12th most points (37.25). He drove the #55 car which wasn\’t \”Low Tier\” equipment.
Spring 2015 Scoring Notes
- The top 10 scorers all finished in the top 11.
- 8 of the drivers who started in the top 10, finished in the top ten. 9 of the top 10 finishers started in the top 12.
- 7 of the top 8 scorers started in the top 9.
- The top scoring \”Super Cheap\” driver was Cole Whitt (33.5). He scored the 16th most points.
