Bristol NASCAR Practice #1 Notes

Joey Logano – Got into the wall late and got some damage. It was very repairable and won’t be an issue. Said his car was pretty quick and will be just fine.

Kyle Busch – Has a very fast car. Darrell Waltrip thought his car looked really good.

Paul Menard – Following his first run when he was 14th on the speed chart he said, “Entry to the corner is good. The biggest thing we need right now is more drive off.” As practice ended Menard said, “I would go back on those last changes, but I think it’s good. We are definitely in the ballpark.”

Jamie McMurray – At the start of practice he said his car was really edgy. 40 minutes into practice when he was 8th on the speed chart he said, “For the way it felt, the lap times seem slow.”

Dale Earnhardt Jr. – Didn’t seem the most happy with his car early. 35 minutes into practice he said, “I was all over the damn place.” He felt like his right front was a foot off the ground. Late in practice he started to like his car. In the closing minutes he said, “Yayy, I like it.”
