Michigan NASCAR Practice #2 Notes

Jimmie Johnson – Spun 35 minutes into practice coming off turn 4. He got a good amount of damage to the front of his car, but his team will repair it. He was 3rd on the speed chart at the time of his problem.

Ty Dillon – Will start in the rear of the field after having his qualifying time disallowed. Said some changes made 45 minutes into practice gave him less security on entry. Said his car needed some changes.

Martin Truex Jr. – His car was very quick this session. Ended practice at the top of the speed chart. Didn’t do any long runs.

Ryan Newman – 35 minutes into practice he said his car is a little better but he needs more speed. He was 24th on the speed chart at the time.

Kyle Larson – His car was extremely quick. Said his car was pretty good. Tried a couple different packages this session. Said one setup felt lazy so he went back to the setup he started the practice with.
