Fantasy NASCAR Asterisk Mark Report – Sonoma

AJ Allmendinger – AJ Allmendinger had a really good car last summer at Sonoma but finished an asterisk mark 14th. During pit stops with about 22 laps to go his team had an uncontrolled tire and that penalty dropped him back to 26th. Just prior to that problem he was running in 5th. Performance wise I think he was realistically right around 5th place good if his race would’ve been incident free.

Clint Bowyer – You can’t read into Clint Bowyer’s 40th place finish any last year at Sonoma. On lap 5 he had an electrical fire while running in 18th and it marked the end of his race.

Kyle Larson – Kyle Larson had a really good car last summer at Sonoma and was a little better than his 12th place finish. With 40 laps to go during green flag pit stops he was caught speeding on pit road. 10 laps prior to that problem he was running in 3rd.
