New Hampshire NASCAR Practice #1 Notes
Denny Hamlin – Crashed hard into the wall with about 20 minutes remaining. Will be going to a backup car. Had a fast car in race trim running the high-line in the PJ1 (sticky substance put down).
Ty Dillon – Tested here earlier in the season. Started out in race trim with a 14 lap run. Following his run he would like his car to be tighter on entry, more free in the middle and to have better drive off. 45 minutes into practice he said, “I feel like the drive is better. I can do what I want from entry to middle. We just need a little more speed.”

Aric Almirola – Returning this weekend. 45 minutes into practice he was happy with progress made to his car. He was better on entry and just a little tight in the center and off. Excited to be back and said his body feels great. Happy with his car in race trim but wants to be able to turn better.
Kyle Larson – Has a substitute crew chief after getting penalized earlier in the week. His crew chief is suspended for the next three races. Had the fastest practice speed from drivers in race trim. When he went to qualifying trim he jumped to the top of the speed chart.
Ryan Blaney – Said the application of the substance is really changing things up. Said his car is pretty good in race trim. Went to qualifying trim midway thru practice.
