Drivers parked for 30 minutes this session: Kyle Larson, Erik Jones and Clint Bowyer
Drivers parked for 15 minutes this session: Chase Elliott, Kevin Harvick and Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Kyle Larson – Was parked for the first 30 minutes. Made a 24 lap run that put him 4th on the speed chart. Said he was tight in the middle. Said he didn’t think he was very good especially over long runs.
Jimmie Johnson – Had a fast car and his team seemed to be pretty happy about it. Was loose.
Denny Hamlin – Has a fast car. Was 2nd on the speed chart 10 minutes into practice. Said he could use more grip late exit. Ran near the top PJ1 groove again.

Ty Dillon – Early in practice it was reported that he was struggling in the corners. 20 minutes into practice he said, “Fired off pretty good, but it got tighter in the center as I ran.” Midway thru practice he said, “Those changes freed me up where I need it to, but we need to make an adjustment with the left rear.” At the end of practice he said, “I need a more stable entry to be able to arc out like I need to.”
Aric Almirola – His team worked on getting his car to turn better in the center of the corners. He was 14th on the speed chart early.
