Fantasy NASCAR Low Tier – Pocono
Danica Patrick – Danica Patrick hasn’t been that bad of a performer at Pocono. In 3 of the last 4 races she’s finished between 16th and 22nd. The one race she finished outside of that range she had problems late. This spring at Pocono she had one of her best races of the season. When the checkered flag waved she finished 16th, had a 16th place average running position and earned the 19th best driver rating. Last summer she didn’t have a great race. She finished 22nd and had a 22nd place average running position. In spring 2016 she had an OK car but ended up finishing 32nd after being involved in an accident on lap 93. At the time of that incident she was running in the upper teens. In August 2015 she tied her best result and also finished 25th. Her average running position that afternoon was 17th. In spring 2015 she ran well and was on pace to have her best Pocono race but her afternoon wasn’t incident free. With 26 laps to go she had a right rear tire go flat and got into the wall. She was running in 11th at the time of the incident. Later in the race with 7 laps to go she spun again coming off turn 3. When that race reached its conclusion she finished 37th. (Yahoo B Driver)

Michael McDowell – Look for Michael McDowell to likely be a low-twenties to mid-twenties driver. Performance wise that’s just how he stacks up against the competition. Michael McDowell hasn’t been bad in the last two Pocono races. This spring he was better than his result but he faded late. In the race he qualified 11th, had an 18th place average running position and finished 24th. Last August he finished 23rd and had a 25th place average running position. In many of his other starts prior to that he was in “start and park” equipment so you can’t read into those results. (Yahoo C Driver)
David Ragan – David Ragan hasn’t been that bad at Pocono. In 7 of the last 8 races he’s finished between 17th and 25th. Performance wise on Sunday I would probably look for him to likely be around mid-twenties good. This spring he finished 25th and had a 25th place average running position. Last August he didn’t run well at all. He finished 32nd and had a 34th place average running position. His three prior results were finishes of 23rd, 17th and 23rd. (Yahoo C Driver)
Landon Cassill – Nothing good will come from picking Landon Cassill at Pocono. In August 2015 which was a fuel mileage race he finished 14th, in all of his other 13 starts he finished 24th or worse. This spring at Pocono he was really bad. He finished 27th, had a 30th place average running position and earned the 33rd best driver rating. In summer 2016 he finished 30th. In spring 2015 he had major problems and finished 36th. (Yahoo C Driver)
Cole Whitt – Cole Whitt has five straight finishes at Pocono between 27th and 31st. If you pick him I don’t see why you shouldn’t expect a similar result. Overall in 6 of his 7 starts he’s finished within that range. This spring at Pocono he finished 30th. In 2016 he had results of 30th and 31st. (Yahoo C Driver)[/restrict]
