Notable Drivers Parked For the First 15 Minutes: Truex Jr., Bowyer, Suarez, Buescher and McDowell.

Martin Truex Jr. – Parked for the first 15 minutes this session, will be parked for the first 30 minutes in Happy Hour. Has two pit crew members suspended this weekend. Has a fast car in race trim.

Austin Dillon – 25 minutes into practice while he was 25th on the speed chart he wasn’t happy with his car.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. – 35 minutes into practice while he was 19th he said, “I’m really tight the first half of the corner and really loose the second half of the corner.” Didn’t seem very happy with his car. At the end he said, “We need to get it tightened up, a little more wedge or something. The steering is a big deal.” Also he reportedly said his car is “crappy.”

Kasey Kahne – Early in practice his crew chief said, “Good laps times so far.” 20 minutes into practice he said, “I feel good getting into Turn 1, and I’m little snug in the center.” 40 minutes into practice he said, “Made Turn 1 better all of the way through.” Ended the session 22nd on the speed chart.
