Fantasy NASCAR Low Tier – Michigan
Aric Almirola – At Michigan I would look for Aric Almirola to be a high-teens to low-twenties driver. This year in his incident free races at intermediate tracks he’s typically finished in the teen’s. In 4 of the last 5 races at MIS Almirola’s finished in the twenties. This spring he missed the race and in his place Darrell Wallace Jr. finished 19th. Last August in his most recent MIS race he started 26th, finished 25th and had a 25th place average running position. Last spring he didn’t run well with the lowest down force package. In the race he finished 26th, had a 26th place average running position and earned the 28th best driver rating. In summer 2015 when the high-down force packaged was used he had his best overall MIS result and finished 14th. In the two races prior to that he had results of 20th and 22nd. (Yahoo B Driver)
Chris Buescher – Chris Buescher has had problems in two of his three Michigan races. In spring 2016 when the lowest down force made it’s debut he had his one incident free race and finished 20th. This spring he was mid-twenties good but with 24 laps to go he took his car to the garage area which led to his 36th place finish. Last August he had engine problems that led to his 35th place finish. (Yahoo B Driver)
Landon Cassill – Landon Cassill was really bad this spring at MIS. I think if you pick him it’s asking for trouble. Outside of August 2015 (high-down force package race) all of his finishes are 24th or worse. I think that makes it clear nothing good will come from picking him. This spring he finished 32nd and had a 34th place average running position. Last year he finished 30th and 36th. If you pick him I think it’s reasonable to expect a mid-twenties finish at best. David Ragan – David Ragan was very uncompetitve this spring at MIS. He finished 29th, had a 31st place average running position and earned the 30th best driver rating. Last August he also finished 29th. In spring 2016 he finished 22nd. Performance wise on Sunday I think he’ll likely be around a mid-twenties driver. (Yahoo C Driver)
