Chicagoland NASCAR Practice #2 Notes

Jamie McMurray – 20 minutes into practice while he was 18th he said, “Need rear grip everywhere — especially 3 and 4.” Ended the session 19th after running 34 laps.

Austin Dillon – 25 minutes into practice he said, “Too loose. No forward drive, no side bite.” At that time he was 20th after running 18 laps. Ran 48 laps which was the most for the session.

Clint Bowyer – 30 minutes into practice his team tweeted that he seemed happy with his car so far. At that time he was 13th.

Ryan Newman – While he was 5th on the speed chart 35 minutes into practice he said, “It’s still pretty sporty.”

Martin Truex Jr. – Had great speed during his opening 5 lap run. His car seemed to be very good.
