Martin Truex Jr. who started on the pole selected the low-line. Truex led the first 78 laps.
Big Moment: Jimmie Johnson who started in 2nd got a “Start Violation” when the race went green for beating Martin Truex Jr. to the start line. He had to serve a pass thru penalty but he remained on the lead lap.

On lap 33 Kyle Larson was running in 10th. He started in the rear of the field.
On lap 35 the competition caution came out. Tires are important at New Hampshire and everyone pitted even though they could all make it to the end of the stage on fuel.
During the competition caution Keselowski had a slow pit stop that dropped him from 5th to 22nd.
Big Moment: On lap 42 while running in the top ten Erik Jones got into the wall hard. This marked the end of his race. He had some contact on pit road which ultimately cut his tire.

Notable Moment: On lap 89 Austin Dillon spun and brought out the caution. He didn’t hit anything and no one else had problems. He was running in 14th at the time.

On lap 128 it was mentioned Kasey Kahne had some sort of issue that had him off pace. He was in 31st at the time. Earlier in the race he was running in the top ten.
