Fantasy NASCAR Asterisk Mark Report – Dover
Kyle Busch – Kyle Busch had a great car this spring at Dover. Performance wise he was top five good but his race wasn’t incident free. In the race he started on the pole but then during the first round of pit stops while he was the leader he didn’t have a tire tight and it fell off on the track. By no means was that a death sentence, it essentially just cost him track position. He managed to rebound from that and later climbed up into the top five. Then later in the race with 71 laps to go a caution came out during the pit cycle which dropped him from 5th to 15th. He wasn’t able to rebound from that because with 37 laps to go he pitted under green because of a vibration. When the checkered flag waved he finished 16th.
Ryan Blaney – Ryan Blaney had a really competitive car this spring but finished 32nd. In the race I think it’s clear he had top ten potential. He finished 7th in Stage #1, and 8th in Stage #2. During the Stage #2 caution after he just finished 8th he broke his axel.
Kurt Busch – Kurt Busch appeared to have a great car this spring but finished 27th. While he was running in the top five on lap 64 during a restart he spun and damaged his car. Later in the race on lap 95 he wrecked again. I believe if he had an incident free race he had a great chance to finish in the top ten.
Brad Keselowski – Brad Keselowski had a similar race to Kurt Busch. He ran very well and likely had a great chance to finish in the top ten but during the lap 64 restart Kurt Busch spun and Keselowski was a casualty in the ordeal. At the time of the incident Keselowski was running in the top five.
