Kyle Busch – Has a fast car and had the best 10 lap average.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. – Between sessions he tweeted, “Feels great to have some comfort and speed.” 45 minutes into practice his crew chief said, “Those end lap times were pretty good. Those .60s at the end, I liked.” At the end he said he thinks he has good long run speed. He thought his left front splitter prevented him from posting a really fast lap.
AJ Allmendinger – Was really tight during his first run. During a later run 20 minutes into practice he was 18th and was still tight. 30 minutes into practice he said his car lands better but needs to roll through the rubber better. Balance was the best it’s been but on the edge.
Aric Almirola – After a 23 lap run he said his balance is good. The car just loses overall grip as tires wear down.
