Kansas NASCAR Happy Hour Practice Notes
Drivers parked for the first 15 minutes because of penalties: Jamie McMurray, Chase Elliott, Trevor Bayne, Paul Menard and Aric Almirola.
Kyle Busch – Reportedly he was very happy with his car. Good long run speed.
Paul Menard – Wasn’t very high on the speed charts but he was supposedly happy with the handling of his car. This weekend Paul Menard is on baby watch so there’s a chance he might not race. Daniel Hemric drove some laps in the #27 at the end of practice.
Chris Buescher – With under ten minutes to go while he was 10th he said, “Consistency was there, lands a little snug, just needs to be a little more free.”

Dale Earnhardt Jr. – 10 minutes into practice while he was 17th he said, “The car’s a little edgy.” 30 minutes into practice while he was 20th he said, “There’s so much more right rear grip off the wall.”
Austin Dillon – Early in practice his team liked his pace over his opening run. At the end of practice he was a little tighter than he wanted to be but overall he’s happy with his car.
