Fantasy NASCAR Low Tier – Texas
Michael McDowell – Look for Michael McDowell to be a high-teens to low-twenties driver at Texas. On a weekly basis this year at 1.5 mile tracks a result around that range should almost always be expected, I don’t see why Texas should be different. In 5 of the 9 races at tracks of this length he’s finished between 18th to 23rd. This spring at Texas he finished within that range. When the checkered flag waved in April he finished 23rd, had a 23rd place average running position and earned the 25th best driver rating.

Danica Patrick – If Danica Patrick has an incident free race at Texas I would look for her to be a high-teens to low-twenties driver. I will note she is a risky prospect. In 4 of the 9 races at 1.5 mile tracks this year she’s finished 36th or worse. In the last two races at tracks of this length she has back to back 38th place finishes. In her other five races she’s finished between 15th to 25th. This spring at Texas she had a pretty quiet race and finished within the range mentioned. When the checkered flag waved she finished 24th, had a 19th place average running position and earned the 23rd best driver rating.
David Ragan – At Texas I would look for David Ragan to be a low to high-twenties driver. For him to finish better than that range he’ll need the help of attrition. In 6 of the 9 races at tracks of this length he’s finished in the twenties. In 8 of those 9 races he’s finished between 17th and 29th. This spring at Texas, Ragan finished 28th, had a 30th place average running position and earned the 30th best driver rating.
Landon Cassill – This year at 1.5 mile tracks Landon Cassill is a 9 for 9 in terms of finishing in the twenties. At Texas I don’t see why he won’t make it 10 for 10. This spring at Texas the number you need to know about Cassill is 29. He finished 29th, had a 29th place average running position and earned the 29th best driver rating.
