Phoenix NASCAR Happy Hour Practice Notes

Denny Hamlin – Really liked his car in practice #2. Happy with his car this session. Appears to have a good car. Said his car was phenomenal on exit and everything was better 25 minutes into practice. His team did fine tuning. Had the 2nd best 15 lap average. His team is confident.

Kyle Busch – Had a good car this session. Has lots of speed. His 15 lap average ranked as the 3rd best.

Brad Keselowski – Found something during his final run in practice #2. Feels like he had a direction to work from because of it. Following his first run he didn’t like how his car started the session.

Jimmie Johnson – Supposedly his team was moving in the right direction. Best 10 lap average 15 minutes into practice. Best 15 lap average 35 minutes into practice. Chad Knaus liked his lap times. Happy with his car.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. – 20 minutes into practice while he was 11th he said, “That was a good change. That was a help for sure, but we have to get after it a little more.” 9th best 15 lap average.
