Clash At Daytona NASCAR Final Practice Notes
Chevy General – Jeff Gordon thought that when it came time to bump draft the new Camaro’s might have a harder time because of the shape of the back of the car. Chevy appeared to have the fastest cars overall in single car runs. Until group drafting started Chevy cars ranked 1-6 on the speed chart.
Toyota General – 50 minutes into practice Denny Hamlin, Kyle Busch, Erik Jones and Martin Truex Jr. ran together. They were the first drivers to draft together. They all took turns leading the pack.

Team Penske – They did a group draft about an hour into practice. Stenhouse Jr., Kyle Larson and Kurt Busch latched onto their group.
Clash At Daytona Practice Speeds
Brad Keselowski – Seemed to have a good car that hung tough near the front of the pack. Jeff Gordon thought his car looked pretty good.
Kasey Kahne – 30 minutes into practice he radioed his team and said he was having some trouble getting into the corners.
