Auto Club NASCAR Happy Hour Practice Notes

Martin Truex Jr. – Showed great speed early in practice during his first run. Jeff Gordon was impressed with his long run speed. His 15 lap average ranked as the 5th best. Said his car was OK. They made gains this session and were headed in the right direction. Thinks his car can be a little better.

Alex Bowman – 10 minutes into practice while he was 10th he said, “Still tight center. It was tight taking off.” 30 minutes into practice he reported that he lost his dash lights and that his engine sounded flat. Said his car wasn’t bad and he thought it was a top ten car.

Kyle Larson – Had a flat tire early in practice after he ran over debris. Don’t consider this an issue. Had the 4th best 15 lap average.

Kyle Busch – Appears to have a great car this weekend. Very fast over long runs. His 15 lap average ranked as the 3rd best. Feels OK about his car.
