Talladega NASCAR Practice #1 Notes

Kyle Busch – Started with a 4 lap run to shake down his car. He then did some pit road practice. With about 20 minutes remaining he practiced in a “Toyota” draft and ran a good amount of laps with his teammates.

Kurt Busch – Had the best single car speed early in practice. Overall among drivers who did single car runs I would speculate he was the fastest.

Trevor Bayne – Said his car is pretty fast this weekend. His crew chief was missing today because of the birth of a child.

Alex Bowman – He did some early drafting practice this session. From the portion of practice he was in the draft he said, “I think it was pretty good Greg. Little darty in the tri-oval but I think it had some good speed.” Later in practice he did single car runs.

Austin Dillon – When the draft started about 10 minutes into practice Austin Dillon practiced leading the pack.
