Darrell Wallace Jr. – Had some left rear quarter panel damage from when another car got into him. It was a good amount of damage but it was repaired. When he got back out on the track his team said his car was still pretty sporty. Late in practice he said, “This is cool. But, damn, we are gonna have a crazy race.”
Matt DiBenedetto – Early in practice he said he’s on the splitter really bad. His spotter said the drafting is looking very similar to super-speedway pack racing. 30 minutes into practice while he was 32nd he said “They have a huge suck up with each other, and then they get aero tight.” After finishing a ten lap run around midpoint in practice he said his car is really edgy when he’s by himself but his car is really close. At the end of practice he was happy with an adjustment but said he still gets tight at the end of turns 3 and 4.
Ricky Stenhouse Jr. – 40 minutes into practice while he was 18th he said Same thing we always fight, slower speed.” At that time he was also tight.
