Pocono Early Week Pre-Practice Top 20 Fantasy Projections
Up next on the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series schedule is Pocono Raceway, also known as “The Tricky Triangle.” This 2.5-mile beast of a track is the most unique venue on the schedule, as it consists of three completely different turns, and it’s almost impossible for a driver to be good through all of them. Turn 3 is probably the most important to be good through, though, as that sets up the run down the huge front stretch. Because this is such a big race track, crew chiefs will usually play the strategy card on race day, as they can get creative with fuel strategy and not go a lap down when pitting under green. We’ve seen fuel mileage come into play before here at Pocono, and it’ll probably be a storyline on Sunday as well.
