Kentucky NASCAR Happy Hour Practice Notes
Kevin Harvick – Happy with his car. Started with a really long run and had good speed. His 20th lap was 1 MPH better than Blaney’s who started with a similar long run.
Alex Bowman – 20 minutes into practice while he was 20th in race trim he said changes helped. Needs more stability to get to the throttle. This is his 100th career start. At the end of practice he said, “All good, good hustle, guys.” Never made a run in qualifying trim. Said he was a little off this weekend in an interview.

Erik Jones – Focused on qualifying trim exclusively and ended the session at the top of the speed chart. Said he was pretty good in race trim in practice #1 and he knows what he needs to work on.
Austin Dillon – Early in practice while he was 8th in race trim he said he was chattering the right front. Before going to qualifying trim he was 11th. In his first run in qualifying trim he jumped up to 3rd. In qualifying trim he said he was loose off of turn 2, otherwise it would’ve been good.
Ty Dillon – During his opening run he said, “Overall pretty tight. Not as bad with the splitter push, but still pretty tight.” 20 minutes into practice while he was 25th he said, “Finally got the car freed up. First lap was a step in the right direction and then the second lap I was too free.”
